Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Design:
- Conceptualize, design, and develop mechanical components and systems for our machines.
- Conduct feasibility studies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and functionality.
2. CAD Modeling and Analysis:
- Utilize CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings.
- Perform structural and thermal analyses to validate designs and optimize for performance.
3. Prototyping and Testing:
- Coordinate the prototyping of mechanical components and systems.
- Conduct testing and validation to ensure designs meet performance and reliability requirements.
4. Documentation:
- Create comprehensive documentation for designs, including specifications, test plans, and reports.
- Maintain accurate records of design changes and updates.
5. Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and R&D, to ensure seamless integration of designs into production.
6. Continuous Improvement:
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to suggest improvements and innovative solutions.
- Participate in design reviews to gather feedback and iterate on designs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- I have proven experience as a mechanical design engineer in a machine manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD,.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
